What your team gets

IEC 61850 engineering without leaving the IDE.

Govern features are in use today. Domain modules are pre-release; their state is listed under Tools and formats.

Station configurationSCL files read, indexed, edited and compared natively from IEC 61850-6, with the rest of each file kept byte for byte.
Schema and consistency checksFiles validated against your copy of the IEC schema and checked for references, names and address clashes before they are issued.
GOOSE and Sampled ValuesCaptures decoded and checked against the station file.
Disturbance recordsCOMTRADE records viewed with cursors, phasors and events, and downloaded from the relay over MMS.
Read-only commissioningIEDs browsed online over MMS, including secure connections, without writing to them.

Who uses it

One environment for every role on the team.

Protection engineersCompare relay settings held in the SCL file, as issued against as left.
Substation automation engineersConfigure IEC 61850 systems from the SCL files.
Commissioning engineersCheck GOOSE and Sampled Values traffic against the design.
Analysis engineersRead disturbance records after an event.

Tools and formats

What the Energy module handles, and how far each is verified.

The module is behind a setting, off by default. Loading a CID file to a relay goes through the relay vendor's tool.

No relay vendor tool or relay has been run, and no customer project opened. The module's checks are its own, not a vendor tool's acceptance. Domain modules are pre-release. Nothing is verified by a customer yet, and nothing is verified on Windows. Do not rely on a capability for production work until it is verified for your tools, versions and operating system. Product names belong to their owners.

How a change moves

A person decides before anything leaves the desk.

  1. Propose
An engineer or agent drafts a change to station configuration.
  2. Verify
Schema and consistency checks run on the files before issue.
  3. Approve
A push to the issued configuration waits for a named approver.
  4. Record
Change, results and approval kept together in the audit record.

Standards

Evidence for your engineering process. Conformance is yours.

IEC 61850Station files checked against the IEC 61850-6 schema and the module's own rules. Conformance testing of devices stays with you and the vendors.
IEC 62443Evidence toward IEC 62443: agent rules keep agents off the station and plant networks you name, and every change keeps its approver.

Neural Inverse provides evidence toward these standards. Certification stays with your organisation and assessor.

Rules you work under

What they ask, and what Neural Inverse gives you toward them.

We produce records your assessors and regulators can use. We never say a product makes you compliant; that stays with your organisation.

NERC CIPWhat it asksOwners and operators of the North American bulk electric system protect their BES Cyber Systems, control and log electronic access, and manage supply chain risk under CIP-013. Since 1 April 2026, CIP-003-9 also requires low-impact assets to detect and disable vendor electronic remote access. NERC is revising CIP-013 at FERC’s direction. What Neural Inverse gives youSelf-hosted and air-gapped deployments in which we run nothing in your environment; single sign-on and access control, approvals by named people and a tamper-evident audit log you can export, as evidence for your audits. A software bill of materials for each release is available for your supply chain review.
NIS2 DirectiveWhat it asksElectricity, gas, oil, hydrogen and district heating operators in the EU are in scope as essential or important entities. They manage cyber risk, including in their supply chain, and report significant incidents: an early warning within 24 hours, a notification within 72 hours and a final report within a month, under their national law. What Neural Inverse gives youAccess control, approvals by named people and a tamper-evident audit log you can export when you report. Agent rules keep agents off the station and plant networks you name.
Network Code on Cybersecurity for electricityWhat it asksCommission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1366, in force since 13 June 2024, adds cybersecurity rules for cross-border electricity flows. Entities designated as high-impact or critical-impact apply minimum or advanced cybersecurity controls, including for their ICT supply chain, on a timetable set as the risk assessments and controls are adopted. What Neural Inverse gives youDeployments you control, records of every change to station configuration with its approver, and a tamper-evident audit log, as evidence for your risk assessment and controls.

Questions

What energy and utilities teams ask us first.

Does it work with our relay vendor tools?

The Energy module reads SCL from PCM600, System Configurator and other IEC 61850 tools, and loading a CID file to a relay still goes through the relay vendor’s tool. The module is pre-release: its reader and checks are verified on 292 public sample files, and no relay vendor tool or relay has been run yet.

Can an agent write to a relay or change issued configuration?

Online IEDs are browsed read-only over MMS, without writing to them. A push to the issued configuration waits for a named approver, and agent rules keep agents off the station and plant networks you name.

Can it run on-premises or air-gapped?

Yes. Neural Inverse Govern runs on your own servers, in your own cloud account or on a network with no internet access, installed from an offline bundle with checksums and with models served inside your network. Run each release on a host with no route out before you rely on it.

Can we keep station files on models we host?

Yes. Each request is classified from its project, and your routing policy decides which models may serve each classification. By default, restricted work may only reach self-hosted or zero-retention models.

Is Neural Inverse certified for NERC CIP or IEC 62443?

No. Neural Inverse does not make you compliant with NERC CIP or certify anything to IEC 62443. Govern keeps records of changes, approvals and decisions as evidence toward your controls; compliance and certification stay with your organisation, its auditors and assessors.
