Welcome to Neural Inverse Academy

AI coding tools work differently when you're building firmware, migrating COBOL, or working under DO-178C. Neural Inverse Academy teaches AI-native workflows for regulated software development - where traditional AI IDEs fall short.

What you will find here

The Academy covers workflows specific to Neural Inverse:

  • AI Chat & Inline Edit - How to use Ctrl+L chat, Ctrl+K inline edit, and autocomplete effectively for embedded and legacy code
  • Power Mode - Understanding the autonomous agent, its 22+ tools, and when to use concurrent sub-agents
  • Firmware Development - Working with 357 MCU variants, SVD register maps, and hardware-specific AI context
  • Legacy Modernization - The 5-stage pipeline for migrating Fortran, COBOL, Ada, and other legacy languages
  • Bring Your Own LLM - Configuring 20+ providers and per-feature model selection
  • Neural Inverse Cloud - Using cloud workspaces, free OSS models, and hardware simulation

Why we are publishing this

Neural Inverse is open source. We built it for embedded engineers, legacy system maintainers, and compliance-focused teams who don't have AI tools designed for their workflows. The Academy makes those workflows accessible to everyone.

Who this is for

  • Firmware engineers working with STM32, ESP32, nRF, RP2040, and other embedded platforms
  • Software engineers maintaining COBOL, Fortran, Ada, PL/I, and other legacy systems
  • Teams working under DO-178C, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, or IEC 62304 compliance
  • Developers switching from Cursor, Copilot, or other AI IDEs
  • AI agents that support humans in understanding Neural Inverse features and workflows

How Neural Inverse is different

Traditional AI IDEs are built for web and mobile development. They don't understand:

  • MCU datasheets and register maps
  • Build systems like PlatformIO, ESP-IDF, Zephyr, or CMake for embedded
  • Legacy language syntax (COBOL, Fortran 77, Ada 83)
  • Compliance constraints (MISRA, CERT-C, DO-178C traceability)

Neural Inverse is an AI IDE built for these workflows first. The Academy shows you how to use it.
